We all say we will never become like our parents, but if the single choice between passion and stability were given to you, what would you encourage? Now what would you encourage for your younger family members? The Space In Between is my directorial debut short film made in 2022. There came a point where it felt like the cards were stacked against me to create it, and then against me to release it. And then I realized, I can always reshuffle the deck. I have since gone on to work on tremendous projects with phenomenal teams. In honors of my Dad's birthday, may he rest in peace, I feel overjoyed to share this part of my origin story. All I encourage, as you view the film, is to imagine as if you are a guest in the Aluri home, and to sit with all its spoken, and unspoken, words. One of the most interesting collaborations to ever come up on Coke Studio @ MTV, is this crazy mix-up of two completely different worlds -- Bhanvari Devi's traditional, power house Rajasthani vocals, fuses with Hard Kaur's scorching rap on her personal life journey displaying her genuine rapping skills.
